UMC Architects are proud to announce the successful completion of The Wellington Trilogy at Fradley Park, Lichfield.
The development, known as The Wellington Trilogy pays tribute to the heritage of Fradley Park’s former life as RAF Lichfield, Staffordshire, through the naming of the units.
Pegasus, Perseus and Merlin were pioneering aircraft engines of their day. The Wellington trilogy is targeting the Mid-Box Industrial and Logistics market with Pegasus delivering 50,000 sq ft, including 3,190 sq ft of office space and 47 parking spaces, Perseus delivering 60,000 sq ft and includes 3,720 sq ft of office space and 45 parking spaces; whilst Merlin provides 4,215 sq ft of offices with 60 parking spaces across a total of 70,000 sq ft.
UMC Architects were initially appointed by Graftongate to undertake feasibility masterplan proposals for the redevelopment of the site, before commencing with the preparation of a full planning application for the multi-unit scheme. UMC Architects supported main contractor Readie Construction throughout the detailed design and construction phases of the project which was delivered in a little under 36 weeks. The wider Design Team comprised Avison Young [PM], Curran Webb [CDM], Nolan [Structural and Civil Engineering] and WMBS [M&E].
