Funded by db symmetry in partnership with Equation Properties, Symmetry Park, Swindon / M4 J15 extends in total to 96 acres and benefits from planning consent for up to 1.3 million sq ft of B8 use. Having been responsible for the masterplanning of the overall development, UMC Architects were appointed for the detailed design of the first unit which was built on a speculative basis. The facility comprises a total footprint of 217,323sqft including 12,440sqft of first floor open plan offices, 12m clear internal height, 50m deep service yard serving 20no. dock loading doors and 4no. level access doors. UMC worked alongside contractor Readie Construction to deliver the detailed design of the facility, which was successfully completed on time and within strict budgetary constraints.
