New facility for Apricot Clothing complete

A new bespoke facility for fast growing multi-channel women’s fashion brand Apricot Clothing has been handed over on time and within budget.

UMC Architects were originally engaged by CBRE and KAM Projects Consultants Ltd, to prepare the architectural design of the facility, located at Stratton Business Park, Biggleswade.   The 95,000sqft unit is intended to support the future growth of the company who have 13 standalone stores as well as 400 concessions across the UK and Ireland.

UMC were the Project Architect charged with undertaking the original plot feasibility study, and the preparation and management of the necessary Reserved Matters application, as well as the drafting of a Detail Design package and the delivery of the scheme once on site.

Our team worked with Glencar Construction during the detailed design stages, with construction work commencing on site in early 2018.
