Nunnery Park complete and fully let

UMC Architects are delighted to announce that the St Modwen Nunnery Park Development in Worcester is complete and now fully let.

UMC Architects were initially appointed by St Modwen Logistics to carry out feasibility masterplans for a new 3 unit multi unit scheme totalling 94,545sqft.

The scheme which is conveniently located equidistant between junctions 6 & 7 of the M5, represents the latest UMC Architects appointment by St Modwen Logistics with the practice novated to work alongside Main Contractor Benniman Construction throughout the Detailed Design and Construction phases of the project.

The units form the final phase of construction at the popular site, which St. Modwen is expanding after obtaining planning permission from Worcester City Council in April 2019. The wider expansion of the 20-acre park is expected to create more than 130 new jobs.

Nunnery Park is already home to several leading businesses including UK Storage Company, Auto Support and Supra UK, as well as amenities such as a Kentucky Fried Chicken, Greene King pub, petrol station and convenience store. Units of 48,000 sq ft, 19,010 sq ft and 27,525 sq ft will expand the employment-led, mixed-use development’s offer, with the largest warehouse boasting five dock level doors, a 10m haunch height and close to 40 car parking spaces.

Works were completed on site in June 2020 during the UK’s Covid lockdown, with lettings agreed for all three units just a month after reaching practical completion. BioPak, one the UK’s leading suppliers of eco-friendly packaging, will occupy Unit 10, award winning distribution company Nemesis Ltd will occupy Unit 11 whilst Obex Protection, a specialist in manufacturing, converting and distributing surface protection films will occupy Unit 12.

Leanne Osbourne, Director at BioPak said, “The quality of Nunnery Park’s warehouses and its ideal location were what attracted us to the scheme. St. Modwen provided us with everything we needed to make our decision and we’re sure our new home will allow us to grow our nationally-recognised brand even further within the industry.”
