UMC Architects were appointed by Roxhill Developments in late 2014 to carry out a feasibility study into the viability of accommodating a new bespoke parcel distribution unit for DPD known as a ‘superhub’ facility at the Wentloog Corporate Park, Cardiff.

The building represented the latest development in DPD’s growing network of satellite facilities across the UK, capable of acting as a mini-hub, handling 25,000 parcels daily. Having successfully secured planning consent for the new facility, UMC Architects were appointed for the detailed design of the new facility, working closely with the main contractor, Winvic Construction. The unit was delivered on-time and within budget in June 2015.
