A new bespoke 68,000sqft parcel delivery facility for DPD at the Vertex Park, Emersons was successfully handed over to the occupier DPD on time and within budget.
UMC Architects are playing a lead role in DPD’s ever growing development of hubs across the UK, having already been involved with facilities at Northampton, Edinburgh and Cardiff.
The building represents the latest development in DPD’s growing network of satellite facilities across the UK capable of acting as a mini-hub handling 25,000 parcels daily.
Having successfully secured planning consent for the new facility, UMC Architects were appointed for the detailed design of the new facility working closely with the main contractor Midas Construction.
