UMC Architects were appointed by Stoford in late 2014, for the design of a new speculative 133,000sq.ft logistics facility at Tuscany Way, Europort, Wakefield. The site is only one mile from Junction 31 of the M62 which links to junction 42 of the M1 in less than 7miles. The scheme was successfully negotiated through planning and subsequently built by Clegg Construction, with UMC novated for the detailed design.

The warehouse area includes a clear internal height of 12m with 50kN/m² floor loading and is serviced by 12x loading dock doors and 2x level access doors. The unit is supported by a 2-storey ancillary office block of 6,630sq.ft. Externally, the site layout comprises a 50m deep service yard and 119x car parking spaces. The unit achieved a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ status.
