UMC Architects were responsible for the detailed architectural design of a new £20million manufacturing facility for a leading UK kitchen and bathroom manufacturer at the Worcester Six Business Park.

Kohler Mira, parent company of Mira Showers, is the fourth occupier to announce its move to Worcester Six and marks a significant investment for the company which is expanding its UK operations.

Having been responsible for the masterplanning of the overall Business Park development, UMC Architects were appointed by Stoford to deliver the detailed design of the scheme and supported Main Contractor Benniman Construction through to completion of the project in the summer of 2020.

The purpose built facility includes training and office accommodation within a total footprint of 159,682sqft and meets the Occupier’s future business requirements as well as an increase in customer demand. Kohler Mira’s on going global commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility is also reflected in the scheme. The sustainable building will include high-tech innovative design features including a significant photo voltaic solar array on the roof which should generate up to 1MW of power and will help towards Kohler Mira’s aims to be carbon neutral by 2035.
