Plot 111 represents another step in the development of the 180 acres Peterborough Gateway distribution and manufacturing park and comprised the delivery of a 300,000sqft single sided Storage and Distribution warehouse facility for DSV UK Ltd. The unit was designed to meet institutional standards with a service yard to the west elevation, sized to provide lorry parking to accommodate 101 trailer spaces whilst the building offered a clear internal height of 15m. In addition, the unit is served by an integral 2-storey office and welfare block, 2-storey pod office block and open fronted canopy to the level entry doors, as well as grade level car parking [223 spaces] and cycle storage [60 spaces].

UMC were the project architect charged with undertaking the original plot feasibility study and the preparation and management of the necessary Reserved Matters application, as well as the drafting of a Detail Design package and the delivery of the scheme once on site.

Our team worked with Winvic Construction during the detailed design stages with construction work commencing on site in early 2018. The build programme included a number of challenging programme milestones with the unit delivered within 7 months on time and within budget.
