As masterplanners for the overall SEGRO Park, Kettering development, UMC Architects have been appointed by SEGRO to undertake the detailed design of a new build to suit 231,394sqft distribution facility on the 14.90acres plot 4a.

SEGRO Park, Kettering offers up to 1.2million sqft of industrial/warehousing space with units from 50,000 to 700,000sqft adjacent to the A14 in the heart of the midlands. The site is located in an established position with direct access to Junction 10 of the A14 at Kettering which links directly to the M1, M6 and A1(m) and is home to local occupiers including Morrisons, Weetabix and Alpro.

The plot 4a project represents the first construction at the development and is due for completion in the summer of 2020. UMC Architects are supporting main contractor Buckingham Group Contracting throughout the detailed design and construction phases of the project which will be delivered to a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’ and comprise rainwater harvesting, solar thermal heating and electric car charging points.
