UMC Architects were appointed by Curtis Hall to provide the initial feasibility designs for a new 105,500sqft speculative facility on a 6.15acres site at Western Approach, Bristol. The scheme is close to the M4/M5 motorways as well as high profile Occupiers including GKN, Royal Mail, Next and Warburtons.
Having secured a successful B2[manufacturing] / B8[Storage and Distribution] planning consent, UMC Architects were novated to support Main Contractor A & H Construction through the detailed design phases of the scheme.
The facility includes a ground floor core leading to a first floor office of 5,300sqft with the opportunity to fit out the warehouse under-croft beneath. Externally, the scheme includes a large service yard providing ample HGV parking areas and access to 8no. dock loading doors and 2no. level access doors. Additionally the scheme offers 61no. car parking spaces adjacent to the main office. The unit incorporates a flexible warehouse space which benefits from a clear internal height of 12m.
