It consists of a single storey sortation centre and a two-storey main office with first floor mezzanine, in addition to a single storey welfare pod office.

The site will be capable of processing more than 45,000 parcels a day.

The building has received a BREEAM status of “Very Good” as well as an EPC A Rating.

The site layout includes full 360degree circulation of delivery vehicles with attention paid to the flow of on site traffic and the need for segregation from the employee/customer car park.

The building has loading doors on all 4 sides with ample parking spaces for vans ensuring site density is optimised.

The Eurocentral project represents the latest ‘satellite hub’ building in the DPD roll out programme across the UK, of which UMC Architects have taken a lead role in the evolution of the template DPD building design.
