UMC Architects were been appointed by Graftongate for the design and development of a replacement building for Leonardo Helicopters on their existing site in Yeovil. The new building is to be run by Kuehne + Nagel under a ten-year logistics contract and is to be used for warehousing of components and tooling.

The new facility is the result of a consolidation of eight existing warehouse buildings creating an all-encompassing hub. Its focus on sustainability is reflected in the use of rainwater harvesting tanks for brown water services, a heat recovery system in the main warehouse and a modern office temperature control systems.
UMC architects were novated to GMI Construction Group PLC.
