UMC Architects supported Lindum Construction through the detailed design and construction phases of the two new units which offer footprints of 30,000sqft and 60,000sqft respectively.
Tom Atkinson, Associate Director at UMC Architects said, “as UMC’s first live development with St Modwen, this project represented an office-wide collaborative effort to realise this first phase of development at St Modwen Park, Lincoln. Working closely with St Modwen, UMC have also had a responsibility for implementing the developing ‘Design Code’ standards for this development, providing a standardised aesthetic and standards for all new industrial St Modwen developments.”
“The design development of the two new units has resulted from this process, which have created a landmark statement at the heart of St Modwen Park for all future development of the site. The two units provide a prominent frontage on approach, mixing feature office accommodation alongside the active service yard facade, which are both integrated with their surroundings through significant external landscaping.”
“Overall, it has been a great team effort from all involved and we look forward to using this scheme as a springboard for our expanding portfolio of works for a fantastic client in St Modwen.”
“Internally, the implementation of the new Design Code standards has helped to provide a high quality finish, with open plan office accommodation, entrance lobby and feature staircases, WCs and kitchenettes all linked to an holistic aesthetic. This all serves to provide prospective occupiers with a high-spec and flexible design for future fit-out.”
The scheme demonstrates St Modwens continued investment in the region and commitment to the wider scheme.
Rob Richardson, Senior Development Manager at St Modwen said, “PC here is a significant milestone in a very important project. This site represents a huge opportunity for the region and we are confident it will appeal to a diverse occupier profile that will be a major boost for the Lincolnshire economy.”
“We have submitted planning for phase two following this and aim to deliver this next phase to support phase one and attract further business to the wider development.”
