UMC Architects were initially appointed in Jan 2021 for the delivery of the first Phase of Orwell Logistics Park. This new 60 acres development is located near the port of Felixstowe.

The first phase consists of two units (Use class Eg(iii), B2 and B8) providing 300,000 and 255,936 sq ft of logistics spaces respectively, with a clear internal haunch of 18m (Unit 1) and 15m (Unit 2)  and offers 48.5m service yards with additional gravel over sail strips.

UMC’s role covers all RIBA Stages from the preparation of the initial concept design to supporting Main Contractor Readie Construction Ltd with the detailed design. The scheme achieved, EPC A rating and BREEAM Excellent.
