Having initially been appointed at RIBA stage 0, UMC Architects positively engaged with the design team to define the client’s brief and performed the Lead Consultant role from feasibility through to completion onsite. In addition acting as planning agents from initial discussions with the Local Authority through to the successful applications for both constructed and future phases of development.

UMC Architects were novated during the construction phase and worked closely with the main contractor MCS Build Ltd through the onsite delivery of the new facility, which successfully completed October 2021.

The positive delivery and successful redevelopment of this brownfield site has not only resulted in a well-designed, high-quality scheme that is an asset to the area, but also promotes and supports employment growth and economic regeneration within the area.
