The Principal Designer plays a crucial role in managing health and safety risks during the pre-construction phase and throughout the entire lifecycle of the project. This includes the construction, use, maintenance, and eventual demolition phases. Their responsibility is to ensure the project is safer at every stage.

In collaboration with our trusted CDM Health & Safety partners, UMC Architects offers CDM Principal Designer services in addition to our role as Architect and/or Lead Designer.
Our Principal Designers assist Clients in discharging their legal duties under CDM 2015, ensuring a coordinated approach to managing construction risks. We focus on achieving safer and more efficient project delivery by facilitating the flow of crucial Pre-Construction Information (PCI), helping all parties understand and control potential hazards.
