Trekfest conquered by Team UMC

A huge congratulations to team UMC Architects who joined hundreds of fellow adventurers in successfully completing the 50km Trekfest hiking challenge in the Peak District in support of local charity Beaumond House Community Hospice.

Battling bravely against the unseasonably bad weather and rugged terrain, the UMC Architects team which consisted of Carolyne, Graham, Jack, Jamie, Luke, Rex and Stephen finished the course in an impressive time of 11 hours 54 minutes, beating their target time of 12 hours.

Beaumond House Community Hospice is a registered charity that is committed to providing supportive palliative care to patients with life limiting or terminal illnesses and their families living in Newark & District since 1987.

We are immensely proud of the team for stepping up to the challenge in support of one of UMC Architects chosen charities in 2019 and fantastic to see the intense training prior to the event provide our adventurers with the necessary belief and determination to complete the gruelling course [despite the blisters!].

A massive thanks also to the organisers of the event who provided plenty of support on the hills and contributed to a great day.
